Edinburgh

Hi. I'm in Edinburgh. Ummmm, golly, not much going on with me in Edinburgh. Walked around the city a bit. It's not like what I expected. There is some amazing gothic architechture, but on the whole most of the buildings all look very similar to one another. It's alright but nothing's really blown me away.

The gentleman I was couchsurfing with has a flatmate who works in a whiskey shop, so I spent a good portion of yesterday "learning" about whiskey. The professor was a glass and the lessons became more and more fun as the day progressed. And I did, in fact, learn, well, a little about whiskey! I think my brother would be dead jealous, as this was a pretty swanky store and there were some seriously posh whiskeys I was kicking back. Couchsurfing rules!

Tonight is a quiet night. I'm with new hosts and they'd made dinner plans before I contacted them, so they were brave enough to let me stay here whilst they're out. It's really nice and honestly just what I needed. I've been schmoozing and mingling and chatting for over a week now, and even though I love it, it's nice to have a night all to myself. Plus it's a beautiful airy house! Once more, couchsurfing rules!
