Pure Dead Brilliant

Back again in Carn!

When last we met I was in Edinburgh, having an okay time. Well, eventually Edinburgh sank in under my skin, and I really began to vibe with it, so that when I left I was genuinely heartbroken to have to leave. It's a charming little city. The last day I was there I just wandered around for hours. Met up with a couchsurfing host named Alistair McLeod, how much more Scottish can you get?

Then it was on to the Isle of Skye. This is what life is all about. My first csing host in Edingburgh invted me to go with him and his former roommate to visit his sister in the Isle of Skye. How could I say no? Sure yeah maybe there was a little voice in the back of my head yelping "be wary be wary!" but I squished it with a q-tip and then it was silent.

The words that belong with the I of S cannot be uttered by a human tongue. It is too overwhelmingly beautiful, if you attempted to put it into words, you would be swallowed up by them. It was breathtahking to be sure. We stayed in a faboo little cottage that I expected would smell like mildew and old fabric, but was dead dreamy and one helluva cozy place. Good times.

Then spent one night in Glasgow with one of my new favorite people in the world, the csing host's ex-roommate. Cut from the same cloth, we are.

And at long last to Glasgow Prestwick airport. The slogan for this airport is Pure Dead Brilliant. I love Scotland.

Here are some photos... they are from the summitt of Ben Nevis...
